SFF.Network [SFF Network] AMD Drops the MSRP of RX 470 and RX 460

After the recent launch of NVIDIA's GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti cards, AMD has fired back. Not with new cards (although that may be coming too...), but with a couple of price cuts on their RX 470 and RX 460 product lines. In addition to this, AMD has been sending out media packs showing what they say makes its GPUs better choices than NVIDIA's.

That is great and all but I'm still looking for an ITX length RX 470, nevermind the RX 480.

I'm looking out for an "ITX" sized RX480 card, but if nothing moves on that front, it'll be a GTX 1060 or perhaps a Radeon Nano if I find one for a good price.

They're re-releasing the R9 nano as a Radeon Pro card soon. Might be some updates to it or at the very least a reduction in price?

It is baffling to me why neither of these exist. We have standard-height ITX 1060s and AMD themselves made a 150mm long R9 Nano happen, why does seemingly nobody care about this for the RX470 or 480?

"Bigger is better" and "There is no replacement for displacement".

That card is probably going to be dead silent, though.

Good point.

If it is in fact the ACX 3.0 with a nice custom fan curve you may only have to run the fans under a gaming or similar load. If you have the room in your case a pretty beefy near silent option for your HTCP or quiet desk box.
