This topic has already started in the 4070 thread, but I figured I'd make a new place for this.

Interesting stuff we know so far:

- 4060/Ti coolers will not fit on 4070 and above PCBs
- There is a sweet looking Inno3D 4060 that is just 155mm long. (The actual cooling block is just a round slab of extruded aluminum though, so I wouldn't trust it with a 4060Ti)
- The Palit/Gainward 4060Ti is probably the new GOAT for 5l sandwich builds.
- Some manufacturers still think it's worth slapping triple fan 2,5 slot coolers on the 4060. Wonder if those would be viable for a full passive build?

Not gonna lie, if those 16GB 4060Ti's are dual slot within 300mm, then that could be a great candidate within a Dan A4-SFX. The more cooling the better as far as I'm concerned even if it's a 160w card.
Still, what we need is a reliable comparison of these aftermarket ITX models, or some feedback from the trailblazers buying it. While it might very well be abscent from stores too due to low manufacture just as how it was with basically all ITX gpu's in the past. Hope that won't be the case this time.

What I want to see is an ITX card with vertical fins on the heatsink and 90mm (92) fans to be noctuarizable. That would be the dream.
PNY, MSI and maybe Gigabyte still yet to announce their own ITX versions so I am hopeful. If the above two would happen, that would make me upgrade from my trusty Gigabyte 2060 mini.

I do like the look of a 4060Ti, especially given it's likely to be the fastest ITX card we're getting this generation, it's just... £400+ for 0-10% uplift over the 3060Ti depending on game is really unbelievably poor.

Then again, the 3060Ti ITX was never really available outside of importing it from Asia, so maybe it's unfair to compare? I just don't know really, but i'm awfully disappointed.

Looking at the TDP of the RX7600 it's not like we can depend on that, I would be surprised if it's noticably faster than the 6600XT. I guess I could pray for a 7600XT?

Yeah this is suuuuper disappointing performance. Sure it is the fastest readily available ITX size card, but a shunt-modded RTX A4000 with the dual slot Cooler mod will outperform this by 10-20%... And is not THAT much more expensive if you go second hand.

Absolutely disagree. You can buy this card already - it is called RX6800. With more performance - cheaper - already 2.5 years on the market - Same efficiency with lowered powertarget.

If you do not have any length restrictions there is no reason to grab a 4060Ti 16GB for an absurd price of nearly 600 bucks.

The hilarious thing....people are joking about it being a GT4050. The 4060 has a die area smaller than the 3050 (another x8 128bit but card), while having a similar die-crop factor (23%).

This comment aged well. Same TDP as the 6600XT for 5-10% more performance, and as yet no ITX model. AMD really needed to get the 7600 on the N5 node at a minimum, it seems nVidia are miles ahead in power efficiency this generation. And i'm still not paying £400 for a 4060Ti, it'd take £100 off to even get me to consider it.

fk it.... i'll pay the fee for a Palit/Gainward 4060Ti 16gb for my k39 build when it comes. prolly $1000 aud. would prefer an amd option as i game via linux/proton but that doesn't look on the cards. noone said sff was cheap.

I'll keep an eye on cards listed here as I'm looking for options to upgrade an old Alienware X51 R2 of mine that is still used by my girlfriend for gaming.

The X51 is limited to 9.5 inch 2-slot GPUs with a sub 170W power draw (it uses an external 330W AC/DC adapter). One of the biggest challenges is finding cards that aren't too high. Anything more than a few millimeters above the top of the rear IO plate won't fit.

Currently I have a 6GB Radeon RX5600 XT for the upgrade, but I'd love to get something with more VRAM and a bit more oomph.

Be warned, the 4060ti is not a great upgrade for PCIEx3 computers. It is barely ahead of the 3060ti in performance and can lose in some games.

Thanks for the heads up. I might just stick with the Radeon RX 5600 XT then. It's limited in terms of VRAM, but at least it's PCIe 4.0 16x, so putting it in a PCIe 3.0 16x slot shouldn't cripple its performance.

Sure, it's only a marginal gain in performance, but the card is 170mm length vs the 200mm length of EVGA 3060 TI. The best comparison is perhaps the MSI Aero which is 172mm. But the 4060 TI is also 160 TDP(W) vs. 200 TDP(W) of the 3060 TI so it's a significant reduction in power consumption as well.

The 4060 TI is currently £379.99 on Overclockers vs £319.99 for the 3060 TI, or about 20% more expensive, which is enough to make someone think twice, but personally I've been waiting a long time to upgrade my aging GTX 1060 6gb and this looks like the best option for my NFC SM4-C chassis and HDPlex 400W psu.

That YouTube review was pretty positive? Relatively low price and energy consumption (and noise) to get 100 fps on Cyberpunk.

I'm still trying to wait for a SFF 4060 TI 16gb though...

Which? The one I posted? I just skipped through it and found this part funny (inflated size=> suprisingly light/fake feeling).

Wouldn't pay attention to anything else from it because it was all dictated by NVIDIA.

I wonder if with the RTX 4050 maybe we could see 75W TDP at an interesting price point. It's depressing to see the market going and be stuck with cards like the 4060 at bas pricing. I have beent stuck with my 1650 but I do not see any incentive to upgrade with the lack of decently priced small cards.
