I have managed to have a brickless & fanless build:
The color is contrasting between the back panel and the front panel.
The front panel is something I was able to get from clearance in former NFC website a long time ago.
I used Dremel to cut part of the front panel to allow Arctic Alpine 12 passive cooler to be exposed outside the case.
I do like the look of this, and undervolting + CPU frequency limiting can make the temperature manageable.

My PC parts are not the newest from today's standard, but I haven't had reasons to upgrade, either, because it is performing fine.
