1. strip paint
2. sand with 400 grit until smooth
3. wet sand with 800 grit
4. wet sand with 1000, 1500, 2000
5. bust out the metal polish and spend the next 10 hours polishing it.
It's not fun, but boy howdy does it look nice!
I applied the wrinkle paint. Already the slight wrinkles are coming through. I think this is one is gonna work well and look great. I'll post updates.
Cool thing about the wrinkle paint is its also functional. Its able to disperse heat and has a heat threshold of up to 600°
These arent your grandmas cookies... 200° for 1 hour. Make sure you put the parts in before turning on the oven so they slowly heat up too.

The work involved looks pretty intense but man your results are extraordinary.
And the side panels are done# Im gonna be uploading a video on the process of how I did this and how strong this paint is.
i think with all that work you might fall in love with it mate. gonna be hard to replace it now

Also just to note, using the GeChic 15.6 inch portable screen, and it fits perfectly above the S4 Mini. I am sure I'm not the first one to do this, just thought it was funny how the little feet on the display JUST sit at the edge of the wrap-around bezel and side panels.

@Reldey That external psu though, isn't it a hassle? especially since the cords are so thin.
