Wanting to build a smallish cad machine, likely with a STX board. Which card Is going to to better? Specs point to the P1000, but some reviews say that the K1200 is the most powerful.
Our own @Tek Everythingreviewed the K1200 two years ago. The P1000 is of a Pascal architecture and comparable to the GTX 1050, so that one is likely the more powerful card.
P1000 -
GP107 core in a 640:40:32 config at 1354 core and 1752 VRAM clocks, sucking down 47 watts. Roughly equivalent to the slower Geforce GTX1050 variant. Pascall architecture.
K1200 -
GM107 core in a 512:32:16 config at 954 core and 1253 VRAM clocks, sucking down 45 watts. Roughly equivalent to the GTX750. Maxwell Architecture.
Don't know about those 2 products specifically, but I use AutoCAD for my job, and it runs 3D faster on NVidia cards, although the benches showing this are now several revisions of AutoCAD old. See if you can find benchmark comparisons online.
