So I’m planning out a super compact build that requires a pico PSU. Have a 250W pcb with a 330W laptop adapter and I am curious to everyones experience with them.
Efficiency? Absolute Max Wattage? Safety?
Today I tried to use a janky 300W pico PSU and accidentally shorted a connection, Bricking the board. My system now starts very briefly (CPU FAN BARELY TURNS 180) before stopping.
[Bricked 300W] = https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/232703889102
[Current 250W PSU] = https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/163456808467
Planned for the build is a 2200g and a RX 580 4gb (HP OEM). So thats probably around 200W during gaming pushing 230W during synthetic tests which will pushing the system pretty close.
I know HDPlex 400W exists, I actually use it in a build I should be posting soon, but I need the extra small form psu.
Any thoughts?
