SFF.Network Noctua Shows New SFF-Oriented AM5 Cooler at Computex

At 70mm in height, a new prototype cooler for AMD’s AM5 platform was on display at Noctua’s booth at Computex. Spotted by TechPowerup, the cooler should be compatible with most AM5 M-ITX boards. Featuring six 6 mm copper heatpipes and aluminium fins, the cooler is cooled by a NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fan. 35mm of RAM clearance is specified.

TechPowerup states the cooler will likely be launched at this time next year.

As a CCD MI-6 owner, this one has my attention. 70mm with a full size fan would be really nice to have. The L-12S I have in it now is great, but the fan has a frequency that bugs me sometimes.

There is a name I haven't heard for a long time...

I'm thinking that Noctua might be trying to regain some of the sales they lost to Thermalright with this unit. Cases like the Node 202 can't really use the L12 series, and L9 is just too small.

Yeah, with modern TDPs, the L9 series are just too smol for performance computing without it screaming like a banshee, unfortunately.

It really is capped at 65 watts.

WHAT?! I can’t hear you over that 78.5 dBA rated fan in your PC. Is the PC supposed to be hovering?

Sorry it took a while to answer, the fan cut off some fingers.

I am waiting on this one, to join my L12 and L12s. But I first need a platform for it so it needing a year to release is excellent.
