Hey everyone.

If, like me, you are looking for a proper sfx (non L) psu that is efficient (platinum) and comes with the 6x2 GPU connector, Corsair might have something interesting on the way:

Hopefully this PSU will have the same sleeved cables as the SF750. If so, and they price it within reason, this might be what I'm looking for.

Only alternative with the new connector and platinum, is the Thermaltake Toughpower SFX Platinum. But only the 1000w and 1200w can push the full 600w on the 6x2.

Update:

Ok this one is really strange. On the PSU side, it uses all molex microfit (like the 12pw or 6x2). But it doesn't seem to have a real 6x2 connector with the 4 sense pins on it. That is both strange and pretty dumb. Look at the unboxing vid here:

There is also going to be 750W and 850W units, here is a link to what information is available on Corsair's website. They do include sleeved cables. I saw the price list but couldn't find it again but if I remember correctly it was $179, $199 and $249 but I might be wrong. Apparently it is available for pre order on Amazon in some countries, I heard mid July release date.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting and it confirms that all the cables will be sleeved out the box.

Also very interesting that the PSU uses molex micro fit connectors on the psu itself. I would love for ITX motherboards to have that as standard too (less wasted space).

However, these PSU's don't have the proper 12v-6-2 connector on the psu side, hence why it's called "5.1 Ready". That is quite disappointing, honestly. I wonder what the consequences of not having the 4 sense pins will be?

I live in China , I see them available on JD.com (largest retailer, better/bigger than Taobao)

SF750 1449 RMB = 186 Euro / 199 $
SF850 1649 RMB = 211 Euro / 227 $
SF1000 1949 RMB = 250 Euro / 268 $

I believe you need to login to see content. I'll upload screenshots later , in the meantime the JD link for SF750 and also can select the SF850 and SF1000

You can't change the power limit for the cable by modding the inside of the PSU, you have to mod the cable to change the power limit for the cable.
