Hello guys. I am about to build my first mini ITX while I finally moving from the big case world :D.

For now, I want to start without a custom water loop but add it lately as an upgrade. Here is the build I plan to make LINK. However, I have a question if its better to water cooled GPU and use the 4090 MSI Luqid or go for CPU AIO while using a lower 4090 MSI Ventus which is the lower version of 4090s. I mean, it's still an expensive card, but is it noticeably worst than the higher 4090s series? Some say it's similar to 4090 FE.

Thank you for any feedback and help :-)

Man I have the exact same dilemma!

Also don't want to go with a custom loop right now because it would cost quite a lot and I'd like to build in the case first a few times, get to know it so I can plan it out well.

So I was also considering geting a 4090 with AIO and just aircooling the CPU for now.

In my case with a 7800X3D, although hard, should be more manageable than intel's equivalent 13700K and 13900K. But it's got me looking at cases with a bit more CPU clearance, like around 70mm.

Have you decided how you'll proceeed?

I used to have a msi ventus 4090, I had it in a nr200. My only negatives about the card were anything past 1500rpm was loudish and the coil whine on mine was horrendous to the point it had to go back. Temps at 1400-1500rpm were 70c (cyberpunk 4k pathtracing) undervolted. If it was not undervolted it would still stay at about 70c but the fans would ramp up to 1800+ sometimes which was very loud( I sit 7ft awawt from my pc).

Was it the OC version?

What card are you using now?
It was the oc edition, and I currently don't have another 4090 and am deciding on what 4090 to buy as am unsure of the next ssf case I want, am looking at either the 4090fe in something like a p-axt v3 or fractal terra or going with a 15ltre case for better 4 slot gpu compatibility
