The ASRock B550-itx Phantom Gaming has right angle SATA connectors. This is an issue for PSU mounting. I don't want to mount the PSU on the inside-front because that removes the space to mount the hard drive cage, which kind of defeats the purpose of freeing up space for the SATA connectors in the first place. Any recommendations to solve this issue?

I had problem with 2.5 drive mounting issue as well. So I ended up not using any SATA drive at all and went for double M.2 drive.
One is pcie gen4 high performance 500GB for OS drive, and another is gen3 cheaper 1TB for secondary storage.

Aaaand yes! The USB3 header to USB-C works like a charm (10Gbit/s for my USB-C port!).

Instead of rerouting 2x USB3 ports from the back of the mobo, I decided to use a USB2 header -> USB3 header adapter. Basically I downgraded the frontal ports to USB2, but it's not a problem because I use them for my fingerprint reader and the Logitech Unifying receiver.

I also tested the 2x USB3 Type A to 19-pin USB header, and it works as expected.

Hi, sorry to necro a 1yo post, but just wondering whether this setup is still going strong. I'm going to be doing a build in the NZXT H1 with an Asus X570 motherboard, which has only one 19-pin USB header (marked U32G1_12). The H1 front panel has the same cable situation, with one 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C -> Type-E and one 3.2 Gen 1 -> 19-pin connector. If I had realized ahead of time I would have gone with B550. But I do want full connectivity on the front panel because of how annoying the H1 makes rear (bottom) panel access. I don't mind plugging things into the I/O shield and running cables internally. Don't want to sacrifice either m.2.

Am I reading correctly that you can actually combine the bandwidth of two USB-A 3.1 ports using the dual USB-A -> 19-pin female passive adapter, and end up with a 10Gbps USB-C connection? Does that work stably? If so, could others in this thread that have gone through with builds like these advise on the pros and cons of the following configurations:

I'll double necro this thread... But what setup did you go with...

I am about to get a x570 and the USB 3. 2 Gen 2 header issue is problematic... At the same time I don't want B550 as most lack backplate connections vs the x570.

Also... Why the heck x570 do not have 3.2gen2 headers ?
