Very nice progress!

I guess you'll just judge mounting tension by hand when screwing down the heatsink? Does the stock cooler have springs or anything?

Thanks James!

It will be dependent on hand tensioning, As the stock mounting system was fairly simple. I'll upload a photo of it tonight for comparison to my block. I'll mostly likely try to finish the block too.

I've been too overworked this week to spend as much time as I would've liked on this and my 3D printer got held up at customs today so I wont have it this weekend sadly. I did however get a little package with some goodies!

Firstly, The stock cooler!

And the good stuff ;)

Just a small update!

So I brought a 3D printer! And like a child I immediately put it to work with printing my chassis. As you can see, It has worked very well! A few of the measurements were off, But overall it has helped to visual the concept for me extremely clearly. Over the weekend I'll implement a few minor tweaks to the design and print another copy in a higher quality instead of the default "fast" setting that I used for the first iteration.

Really puts into perspective how tiny that board is when it's dwarfed by even just a 92mm radiator :p

Any update on this build?

My air cooled skull canyon is completely dead due to lack of monies.

I'm working on designing something very similar. Glad I found I wasn't alone ;) These links below you might find helpful.

Skull Canyon (NUC6i7KYB) Board (doesn't include the fan/heatsink)

Skull Canyon (NUC6i7KYK) "Kit/Chassis" (i.e the case itself)

I've made them available in Fusion 360.

Wow. Didn't know Intel provides STEP files!

And very nice of you converting them to F360.

This will be helpful.
