Welcome to the forum ! You're not giving much to give an answer on, as materials are more or less suited for different types of concepts and designs. All materials have properties like stiffness, hardness, cost, manufacturing possibilities, etc.

A case out of glass is perfectly possible, just insanely expensive. A case out of wood is perfectly possible, but will have thick walls, etc.

if this is your first time, i suggest you to start with materials that are easily accessible / near you, and cheap enough to fail, throw away, and repeat.
