Power Supply HDPLEX 300W + pico160xt?

Since this mining thing happened again it is almost impossible to get a hold of a rx480 / rx580 without paying too much.
Figured might as well wait for Vega to pair with my 1700 then.

To the question:

Would it be possible to have the pico160w sitting in the 24pin like normal, powering cpu, ssd and that jazz.
And have my HDPLEX 300w powering gpu only?

Im building an open air tiny rig so I would rather not get a sfx psu...

So you'd have dual bricks? A 12V for the pico and a 19V for the HDPLEX?

Yeah, didn't really realize how massive the bricks are. But they hide under the desk.

There's some question about voltage differences between the power coming from the PCIe slot and the PCIe connector, but otherwise that setup would work and similar has been done before.
