"Update AMD AGESA ComboAM4v2 1.0.0.2 "

AGESA v2 was introduced for X570 and B550, I'm glad it is pushed to older chipsets.

Just rolled back from that beta 3.60L - NVMe SSD (Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB) wasn't detected. 3.60H had the issue with waking from sleep (plus blue power LED was only blinking all the time), so going back to stable 3.60 .

My NVMe SSD (Samsung 970 pro) also was not detected. Flashing back 3.60H did not bring back the drive. @TomHC81 did your drive come back with stable 3.60?

Hello from Austria, sorry my English is weak :)
I am using Samsung 970 EVO plus 500 GB and 2TB.

Thats my A300.
A300 made for my father.
And my third A300, reserve parts.

For my third A300 i want to buy one of the new APU .. 4700G or 4750G.
I hope they will work with the new BIOS Versions.
Already bought Thermalright AXP-90 from Aliexpress.
Now i hope for the new 8 core apu to work with this cooler :)

After i changed from 3200 to the 3000 RAM all my issues was solved.
Desmini 300 + 3400G do not like all RAM available on market.

G.Skill RipJaws SO-DIMM 8GB, DDR4-3200, CL18-18-18-43 (F4-3200C18S-8GRS)
Work not faultless with 3400G.
Start Problem: mostly only fan start -> no led shines -> need 2-3 times press power button to reach windows.
Waking up from sleep sometimes do not work.
Windows Restart hung ups.
Exit Bios and Restart sometimes crashes.
Sometimes blue power LED was blinking all the time, after such a crash :)
MemTest86 Pro 8.3 -> no errors found.

G.Skill RipJaws SO-DIMM 16GB, DDR4-3000, CL16-18-18-43 (F4-3000C16S-16GRS)
work perfect !
since i use it never had an issue.

I actually had 2 of these drives (512GB) in my A300 and from 3.50 and up, had the same issue, even 3.60, this is not only that BIOS, it also did it for 2 other NVMe drives* (XPG and I cant recall the other at the moment and am not at work to check)

I have not the foggiest what is causing this but its not THAT specific firmware version (for the record, it shows under the M.2 drive area, but NOWHERE else aka a bootable selection), a reinstall of windows after a diskpart clean worked, and that was it for me, reverting back to my 2400G and older firmware's didnt resolve it.

Not that you should have to do that, but wanted to let it be known the experience is not limited to 3.60L or the Samsung drives.

*Had to be sent back from my customer in California, was probably the most painless PC shipping and turnaround I have ever done...

Renior VBIOS support, extracted from 3.60L:
Code:

     EFI AMD RAIDXpert2-Fxx - 9.2.0-00087
     OROM AMD RAIDXpert2-Fxx - 8.1.0-00046
     EFI AMI NVMe Driver present
2 - Video OnBoard
EFI AMD GOP Driver - 2.10.0.0.0_signed
     FFS-OROM VBIOS Unknown - 017.010.000.018.000000
     OROM VBIOS Renoir - 017.010.000.015.000000

     OROM VBIOS Raven 2 - 016.002.000.011.000000
     OROM VBIOS Picasso - 016.002.000.011.000000
3 - Network
EFI Realtek UNDI Driver - 2.046
OROM Realtek Boot Agent GE - 2.62

Renoir Microcode
║7│00860F00│0860000E│2020-01-27│0xC80│0x5EEF00│Yes
║8│00860F01│08600103│2020-01-27│0xC80│0x5EFC00│Yes
Using UEFI BIOS Updater v1.79.5, the "VBIOS Unknown" entry shows up as:
Code:
     OROM VBIOS Cezanne - 017.010.000.018.000000
So there even seems to be some form of support for the "Cezanne" 5000G APUs...

Unfortunately, they don't ship overseas. Perhaps try other retailers in Taiwan or Europe? Also just as michang64 mentioned, in Taiwan at retail you have to build a whole new PC as prerequisite to buy a Renoir as CPU of choice. It's not sold separately.

Same NVMe SSD undetected situation happened to me on 3.60L. I'm Using WD Black SN750 250G. Just rolled back to 3.60 and cleared CMOS to boot.

I'm waiting with baited breath for someone to get their hands on a 4xxx APU and test it on their A300 board, or for ASRock to officially list support on their website.
SO EXCITED to see Renoir in the new bios!!

Beta: 3.60K
1. Update AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.4 Patch B
2. Follow AMD guide to support shared memory adjustment when Hyper-V is enabled

It is more a patch for 3.60H, using the old AGESA Combo (not v2).

Just met the scenario described by Hammerfest - after switching BIOS versions, I wasn't able to see NVMe drive even with 3.60, but after removing CMOS battery connector for a while and holding the power button, it appears again. Now I need to work on a PC, but will check with latest beta in the evening.

Edit: installed 3.60K and 3400G is now boosting to 4.2 GHz!

So.... I guess Renoir 4000 series APU support for the A300 is confirmed.

I don't know why this thread hasn't been merged with the other Asrock A300 discussion thread but it should be. Whenever I come to visit this forum, I have to check 2 threads instead of 1. ?

They weren't merged, atleast initially, both threads served different purposes. The other was for a group effort to modify the bios to add cpu support and unlock cpus, and this one was for news/discussion, but the other has devolved into a plain discussion thread.

Hello Together

I can confirm that the AMD Ryzen PRO 4750G runs with the 3.60 BETA N BIOS. However, I don't trust the standard cooling (even with the Noctua) to deliver a consistently high performance.
The closed case accumulates a lot of heat, which pushes the CPU's power supply and cooling capacity to the limit.

I built an open case for the A300. So far the temperatures are within the limits. In the endurance test the maximum boost clock falls after about 10 minutes from 4.4 to 4.1 Ghz. As far as I could observe there were no sudden fluctuations in the clock rate.

The BIOS is downloadable @ a German Shop specialised in Asrock Systems. LINK -> Click @ News in the Top Row and then select the highlighted article "31.07.20 - BIOSe für ASRock Serie AM4 ". The Download section is at the bottom of the page.
