Hello SFFF,

I have been lurking around the SFF world for a couple weeks and have decided to pull the trigger and build my own system. As the title suggests I have decided to build inside of the GEEEK A20 case that is coming out soon and would like some advice on what I have so far.

The purpose for this build will be at first to use as a general pc to run docs, watch videos, and play small games like LoL and fightcade. I will be adding a gtx 1050 ti low profile card in the future when I am ready to turn this into a dedicated streaming pc. I want to make the parts, mostly the power option, appropriate for my future needs as well. Thanks for your help in advance.

Currently, I have a ZOZO power adapter and was wondering if it'll be fine to use with the HD plex 160w without any issue in my initial use (w/o gtx 1050ti). I was also wondering if this power option, the HD Plex 160w, with a 300w power brick would have any issues with this build, an extra fan and the gtx 1050 ti.

For those who have had experience with the GEEEK A10, I have an idea about mounting the dc-dc port on the case and was wondering if this would be plausible.

I want to print out a 3d bracket for the dc-dc power port for the top section and add a 40mm exhaust fan on the bottom.

If you guys have any suggestions to improve my ideas for this build and/or more cost efficient methods to getting what I want I have my ears opened.

Thanks for reading my post.

Looks pretty nice, but there's definitely a couple of changes I'd consider. Firstly I'd trade that Dynatron 80mm fan and get a Noiseblocker Blacksilent Pro 80x15mm.

I don't trust Dynatron to make something that doesn't sound like a Hoover (they are a server cooling company), and I can vouch from my own experience that the Noiseblockers are awesome. If you're into matching things, they make a (relatively) quiet 40 x 20mm fan in the same series:

Finally, while the Dell is a great brick, it's massively over budget for what you are planning. The HDPlex 160 is rated for 200W max which means a 220W or 240W brick would likely be more than sufficient while shaving significant weight and volume off of the total package.

Thanks Kmpkt, I had such a hard time looking for an 80x15 fan.

Also, do you have any suggestions for the 220w/240w brick and does the one I have work fine with the HDPlex 160. Just making sure so that I have the power squared away when I add the 40mm fan and the graphics card later on.

Thanks again!

Hi there,

I received my A20 yesterday but unfortunatelly came without the foot stands, so I will have to wait for a while until the GEEEK guys send them over. Did you received yours already?

Unfortunately I have yet to order mine. I'm thinking about what I need and it might not be a while before I make an actual build. I do like having this as an option. But my next build will definitely use a GEEEK case as I find them really cool and interesting.

Hope you are enjoying the case, and if you have pics of the final build and stuff it would really be nice for me to see. Thanks you lucky bastrd!

I will try to share some when I get my hands into it, hopefully next week. It's going to be something under budget (G4560 with 1050Ti LP). Let me know when you start with yours!
