Hi fellows,

Long since I last posted something here.

My former project:

"16L high end SFF case in wood and aluminium!" https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/16l-high-end-sff-case-in-wood-and-aluminium.17400/,

has stalled a bit on the finishing touches, but I'm intending to get it done soon.

Currently I've been working on a PC that is intended to be used at my father in laws farm, thus I've opted to call it FarmPC :p

It's an iteration of the former project, although a bit smaller, with less demanding components in the heating department...

The outer dimensions are 360mm depth, 360mm height 105mm width; thus 13,6 L
Inside it measures 330x330x103, giving a inner volume of only 11.2 L

CPU: Intel Core i5 10400F
GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 2060 Super Dual HDMI DP 8GB
MOBO: ASRock H510M-ITX/ac
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 3200MHz 2x8GB
SSD: Crucial P2 M.2 2280 1TB
PSU: Seasonic Prime Ultra Platinum 750W
CPU-cooler: EKL Alpenföhn Black Ridge (with Noctua 120mm slim (15mm) fan)
Case fans: Noctua 92mm x 2

Here are some pictures, I can post more if you're interested.

Cheers, A :)

Did a minor paint job on the mounting plate for the GPU exhaust fans.

I think brown and green match quite well for a PC on a farm, in particular combined with two classic brown and beige 92mm fans.

Perhaps i should have chosen brown dye for the vinyl mesh, but at least I dyed the vinyl washers ;P

My two latest builds side by side.

Have a nice weekend :)

Just my opinion; personally I think wooden panel of similar or different color & grain would look nicer. Or perhaps black mesh.

Nice project nonetheless.

Yeah thanks!

Wooden panels would be nice, but thicker (3-4mm). Definitively an option, although, finding other wood types than pine here in my region (Tønsberg/Norway) prooves somewhat hard unfortunately.

Mesh is too flexible I belive and would need some kind og frame? At least it would be more difficult to get a nice finish around the edges.

I'll consider it for my next projects, though.

A;)

Errr good point, yes probably real mesh would require some kind of frame.

That said, perhaps I chose the wrong word - instead of mesh, I think it should be "perforated metal" :)

I could try and see what I can find in the area, but I prefer aluminium, as I can cut it on my saw.

Cheers ;)
