Just noticed this on their facebook page. Asked for more details. Just thought I'd post it here for the peeps...

About 1.43L I think, 780W 90% efficiency. Not too bad although I must admit that logo is a bit much. Also the vents would scare me as external power supplies are usually sealed. But good on them for innovating.

This is an actively cooled power brick. You can see the fan sticker set back within the unit (wonder why it is set back so far...seem like they could have shortened the brick). There are vent holes around the LCD display for air intake on that side.

I want to know which kind of plug they are using that can handle 39 Amps.

I too wonder about the connector, but the offset in the fan makes sense to me. At any rate I sent them an email about selling to end users/reselling and hopefully will hear back some good news!

That cable also looks very thin compared to the current in needs to handle.

It does, but the Dell's cable is mostly just WUBBER, so maybe there is more meat on those wires. Plus it looks like a 4 pin to me, what do you think?

Looks like dual 40mm fans at least. They should market it like this:

"Do you feel most comfortable surrounded by the cacophony of the server room?

Then take a bit of home with you, with the Eurocom 780W brick! It's practically a 1U PSU you can plug up to your laptop, for that reassuring drone of 40mm fans wherever your business travels take you!"

Now that is very nice, and presentable. So is that width just 10mm wider than the standard 1U power supply width? Would be a letdown if it's not interchangeable with a standard 1U space, but here's hoping it can be.

It will likely interface with a DC DC board via 4 pin DIN just like the Micro STX board at CES.

Here is upcoming of a new power brick from Clevo. It has a power of 780W, that could really useful to face GPU power peak like R9 Nano. The question I have is that this power brick can be paired to a HD plex 300W?

As long as the HDPlex can handle the load and with a modded connector, I don't see why not. You'd also need pretty thick wires. 475 USD though, and those 2 little fans can get quite loud

Also it look freaking massive..... there comes a point when you're paying nearly $500 for a huge power brick that you have to ask yourself - what is the point?

sure it's an industrial psu relooked as power brick.. But clearly it's filling an empty space where there were nothing above Dell 330W/Voodoo 350W.

Now it will be great that @hdplex is able to be compatible with it..
