Hello. Just to preface i looked at the proper setup for the combo here https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/dynamo-combo-setup-guide.6995/. I have just like that except it seems the newer 160 has the yellow wire already attached so I just put a black in from the yellow to the 360. Looks the same just that the yellow and black wire are switched.
Yet I have a problem I don't see anywhere else. I have the combo and the led lights up on the 360 and the hardrive whirrs just fine AS LONG AS I don't have the DC out going from the 360 to the 160. When I do that the led does not turn on, hardrives don't whirr, and the PSU stops giving power until I unplug it and replug it. I have the new 160 and the old 360. Thoughts? Thank you.
Edit: actually I'm wondering now if the extra black cable is necessary now that the yellow one comes directly from
