Time for a new build after my small hiatus from my last project concept. Some parts will be familiar like I'm reusing them and others will be upgraded / replaced!
All of this is mix of art, being meticulous, the joy of building and using ridiculous high-end parts within reasons 🤯... don't judge me lol

PROJECT: DENSITY SILVER

Preliminary list of ingredients (Parts):
  • Case: LZmod A24-V5 [Silver]
  • Board: ASRock ROMED4ID-2T
  • CPU: AMD EPYC 7742 QS [64C/128T]
  • RAM: 384GB LRDIMM
    • MICRON 64GB LRDIMM DDR4-3200 x2
    • MICRON 128GB LRDIMM DDR4-3200 x2
  • RAM Cover
  • SSD: 19TB NVME
    • WD BLACK SN850X NVME 8TB [M.2]
    • MICRON 9200 ECO 11TB [U.2] *to be acquired
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4000 SFF ADA
  • PSU: ... TBD
Spices / Flavors (WaterCooling / Miscellaneous):
  • CPU Block: OPTIMUS Absolute TR3+ [Silver / Pro-XE Nickel]
  • RAM Cover: MEG BLADE T1 Ram Heatsink [Silver] x4 *Custom Order
  • M.2 Heatsink: EK-Quantum Convection M.2 NVMe - Silver

Piece of Resistance (Hint: Mostly Silver with a glint of Black) ... The Initial mock-up:
There's a few things to figure out like PSU placement (internal or external), RTX 4000 SFF shunt mod / maybe single slotted, output connector, short slimsas cables ... etc.
Your feedback is always welcome 😉

Cool and clinical. What is the heatsink for the SSD - did it come with that?
Thanks! The heatsink is the EK-Quantum Convection M.2 NVMe - Silver, currently unavailable or removed on their website and not sure if it will be restock or maybe a newer version is in the works.

What kind of work will you be doing on this? Or is it just for fun? I only game on my PC, so am unfamiliar with what kind of production takes advantage of so many CPU cores and so much RAM. Pretty gnarly.

Will be dabbling in running multiple virtual system with Proxmox and video editing, like already do beats this will help with music production.
I am doing it for fun in a way but logically make sense like we're on the lookout for deals, making offers, sale of previous/unused parts for new items, buying at msrp ect.

Got make it pretty while we are at it like most enterprise motherboard look plain 😉

I know a nice way to give your 4000 SFF that sweet silver shine… 😁
