I kept hearing rumors that the 5080 was going to be $1500, I was like they couldn't sell the 4080 for $1200 how are they going to sell the 5080 for $1500? Nice to see the 2 slot design and that prices are the same or lower, except for the 5090 of course.

I'm kind of pissed. I just went back to full ATX and a friggin 80L tower for giant GPUs...and Nvidia goes and pulls this shit with their reference design. FML 🤪

That being said...LTT posted a Behind The Scenes from a little while ago during embargo...and they had some AIB 5090s (without drivers or any real data on them) and were filming their "thoughts" piece as allowed by Nvidia...the AIB cards were all 3-slot gigantic chonkers, with none appearing to leverage Nvidias 2nd-try double flow-through design

Kind of salivating at a 5080. Having a 4K monitor, I need more than 8GB of VRAM...and the frame gen would be clutch for 240Hz OLED.

I heard rumors of the 5090 dual slot and I didn't believe them, I was really expecting a 4 slot 5090 FE. Yeah I think the 5080 is going to be a monster, really glad they kept the $1000 MSRP. Inno3d is also making a dual slot 5080 so there are at least a couple options.

Hardware Unboxed just did a hands-on with all the AIB cards at CES:
