What's the best true single slot card for 1080p? Only thing I am seeing are RX 460s and Workstation Quatros. Anything else?

The quadro M4000 is the equivalent of a GTX970 with 6 pins and 8GB of RAM.
It's also $897 on Amazon (besides I mentioned the Workstation quadros (sp) in the OP :V)

With a single slot 1070 announced, you'd think they could have done a 1050Ti or 1060 or something. Ugh.

I wouldn't be surprised if a single slot 1050 or 1050ti is on the way in ITX format. If they can do it with the 460, I don't know why they couldn't do it with the 1050. That being said, isn't the 460 close to on par with the 1050ti with the new driver set AMD just released?

i think there is a single slot rx 460

Yeah I am tracking the 460 single slots like I mentioned in the OP, there are at least two that I know of:

http://techreport.com/news/31028/xfx-rx-460-core-slims-down-to-a-single-slot

The 460s are OK, but a little long in the tooth. None of the power sipping efficency or performance increases of the late. Not super great (passable) at 1080p from the charts I have looked at either.

Thinking about trying to run a single slot card in the top slot of a case like the Logic Supply MC600, with 1-2x 3.5" HDDs underneath. Use a riser cable and exhaust upward. No room for watercooling (at my budget :V) in that form factor.

Neither are available yet either. I've been looking for weeks.

Well as @ilovelampshade mentioned, neither of the single slot 460s have been released yet mainly. I currently have a 750 TI (dual slot) and from looking at benchmarks the card would be 10 fps faster on titles, to maybe 30 fps on others. Playable for sure, but if there was something out there I wasn't tracking I'd like to know. Also not as good with heat/power as it's nVidia counterpart. Otherwise I'd be happy with an RX 460.

They pop up on fleebay from time to time for around 400 euros. Missed one lately because the budget was not here at the moment, will trigger next one being posted at this price.

One would be nice, but $400 is over budget for me. Maybe one day! If you pick one up let me know how it works out.
