Cooling Best 75mm or less heatsink/fan cpu cooler for i7 7700k ?

I have this on my 4790K and it works well. I've got a small overclock to 4.4 ghz from the 4.0 ghz base and it keeps it cool enough for comfort. An aggressive fan curve could allow for a bit more of an overclock probably. I've replaced the stock fan with a Noctua Fan, but the stock fan is actually quite nice.

Says it is 75.4, so hopefully you can fit that 0.4 mm extra

No I can't I don't think.

I ended up getting a the Thermalright AXP-200 Muscle at 73 mm with fan. (Includes slim fan)

At first my idle temps were 39C with load at 75C with it.

Now after organizing my case pc cables I get 29 to 33C idle temps and 68C load temps.

What kind of temps do you get with your 4790k with that heatsink/fan please ?

Oh, that is a good choice, you'll probably actually get better temperature results with the Thermalright, that is a bit beefier of a cooler. I was scared away by the potential noise of the big slim fan myself just because my machine is in our bedroom and needed to be near silent.

I'm not sure if my temps are going to be that informative, my FT03 mini has some pretty poor airflow and i'm running my fans with low noise adapters because of the whole bedroom thing. It breaks 80C in Aida64, but would certainly run cooler if I cranked up the cpu and case fans some more.
