Finally! That should improve thermals a lot for AMD builds since the RAM won't block the airflow anymore. Also no more bend MOBO due to the missing backplate. Hope they offer these accessories for upgrading existing coolers...

They do! Thermalright are selling backplate kit for old amp-90 just 5$ on taobao, not turn-able tho. someone is selling home made am4 Turing kit in secede hand marketplace, I was planning to get those till I see this.
I've ordered one of these for a ZS-A4 V3 just in case I need to use its 53mm cpu / 54mm gpu backplate if I get an AIB 6800XT. Does anyone know how the x53 will compare to the original axp90, blackridge, is47k and is60 etc.
Not to suggest that I caused Thermalright to do this, but I had a dialogue with TR USA about 14 or so months ago about the topic of SFF CPU coolers for chassis like the Ghost S1, T1, NCase, Dan, Skyreach Mini, etc. We exchanged a bunch of emails on this topic.
We need more choices and TR makes great quality products, having led the field more than once.

Btw, Thermalright just released the Full Black version of this cooler in Taobao. The heatsink is also made from Copper instead of Aluminium in the standard version.

Do you guys think the "x53 Black" aluminum is good enough to cool a 5600x or is it worth getting the "Full Black" copper one. It almost cost twice as much.
