Would these sticks be comparable to the corsair 3800 cl18? The 1st word latency difference is ~0.53. Probably won't be gaming on it, but it would be nice to have in case someone wanted to.
No, nothing to do with these, they do not use the same chips at all, It is Samsung B-Die chips on the Corsair 3800CL18/4000CL19 while on the one you showed me they are certainly Microns or SK Hynix chips not binned.

I finished the build you guys did. Great tips in here! Do you think the corsair RAM will also work on a Jupiter x300? That's the next one I want to make because it's half the volume of the deskmini.

Jupiter X300 has proper 1.35V RAM voltage and should support any RAM that works in the deskmini A300 or X300. Source: Measured it myself and transferred RAM from Deskmini to Jupiter X300.

Just managed to get a 5600g for my X300. Paired it with cheap 16g hynix CJR 2666 ram kit and got 4000CL18 easy. Now i'm squeezing a bit more with tuning the timings. I'll share some benchmarks soon. On the top of my head, i remember getting 1664 on 3dmark TimeSpy without GPU o/c and ~56ns latency on Aida64.

Do you still have it? What are your benchmark values?

Nice, just out of curiosity could you send a screenshot of your timings and subtimings settings from the "ZenTimings v1.2.5" software?

I am in the process of reassembling my Deskmini X300 card (ASRock X300M-STX under bios L1.72) in an Akasa Cypher ST case) with a Ryzen 7 5700G (before I had a 4750G) cooled by a Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full Copper with 92mm to 120mm fan adapter and therefore a 120mm diameter and 15mm thick fan of max airflow 64cfm and ARGB (SST-AS120B-ARGB), Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M2 SSD, Intel AX210 WIFI6E card, and various other small modifications of my own ;-)

But I have 2 RAM kits to overclock to their limits and I would keep the best in performance, although I would like to be able to keep the one with the largest capacity (32GB), here they are:

-Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GB(2x8GB) 4000MHz CL19-23-23-45 1.35v (Samsung B-Die binned chips)

-Crucial BALLISTIX DDR4 32GB(2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16-18-18-36 1.35v (Micron E-Die unbinned chips)

If you want I will send the results I got on the 2 kits (max OC results, latencies, AIDA64 screens, etc...)

It's nice to see that there are always enthusiasts to push these little performance monsters that are the DeskMini X300 even further ;-)

Hi,

here's the ZenTimings pic:

It boots at over 4000, but the FCLK is not in sync (?).
Which memory is it? Can I have a link?
It's some generic memory i bought used (40€). I'll take a pic, but it's nothing special (2666 1Rx8 Hynix CJR). I also have a Micron E-die 2x8G 3200, but i can't get nearly the same timings. It works at 4200, but with very high primary timings.

I'm very pleased with the results, specially on such a "limited" board. Running with the wraith stealth cooler, although i also have a AXP 90X47 (silver) not yet tested with this cpu.

Mine didn't have wifi card, i got an intel AX200, works pretty well. Also have 2 extra usb 2.0 ports with some very old usb connectors that fit perfectly.

Also briefly tried proxmox (with an R5 3400G) with 2 extra sata disks, but settled with a lower spec NUC for now.

What did you got with the micron ones? I guess they need more vdimm to scale properly. Regarding benchmarks, i got aida64 (old version) doing this:

And some free unigine benchmarks and 3d mark. Going to test some games soon.

I'm thinking in using a big shuriken (that i already have) and cut a hole for an external 120mm fan... But i still haven't tested the cooler to see if it fits and the benefits. 🙂

That is some excellent results with the budget ram.

Edit: Some more searching around. Hynix CJR/DJR is very good.

There are some 3200 CJR kits being sold up to 16gb. Its probably more $$$ for the high binnings but could buy the cheaper 2666 like above post and see how it does. Two 16gb modules I found so far: HMAA2GS6CJR8N-XN. HMA82GS6DJR8N-XN

These seem to be sold individually & not a set of 2x.

It would be awesome to get 2x16gb cjr/djr at good timings since high binned bdie 16gb sodimm does not exist.

By researching in the depths of the internet about hypothetical DDR4 SO-DIMM 32GB (2x16GB) kits supporting significant overclocking (high frequencies and latencies as tight as possible) on the ASRock X300M-STX motherboard of the Deskmini X300, I came across a user who posted a screenshot showing that he is using a Corsair kit model "CMSX32GX4M2A3000C16", so a 32GB(2x16GB) kit equipped with Samsung B-Die chips, which works by default at 3000MHz with latencies following: 16-18-18-39-1T and all under 1.2v. And so this user managed without too much difficulty to make it work at 3800MHz (InfinityFabric synchronous 1:1) under latencies 16-16-16-32-48-1T and of course a vDIMM of 1.35v.

This kit seems to give rather impressive results, that's why I took the initiative to buy some of this model on eBay second-hand (but declared: Open (never used) / New without original packaging) for only €99.90 (about 100usd), I receive the kit tomorrow and I can't wait to see what it has in store! Just see the screenshot in question to understand that there is potential! :
