Alternately, is there any way to take an open m.2 slot and convert it to TB3?

Intel is super strict (though I'm not sure if that's changed with the whole openness thing) and it requires the TB 3 controller to be on the board and lots of certification.

How can you determine if a given motherboard supports m.2 PCIe? For example, could I do eGPU over m.2 with this motherboard: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H110T-CSM/specifications/

PCIe 2.0 x4 still isn't that big of a bottleneck, but it's uncertain if a GPU will work through it without trying. Reactions: keylimesoda
