Hello,
I decided to compile all available AM5 motherboards and compare their VRMs, so that anyone can quickly evaluate them side by side in a single spreadsheet based on VRM quality.
AM5 Motherboard Spreadsheet
I think this is especially relevant, considering that the B850 chipset alone already includes over 150 models, while B650 and B650E together have around 170 models. And it’s not always clear which motherboard is better.
For example, in theory, the MSI MPG X870I EDGE TI EVO WIFI has a better VRM system than the MSI MPG B850I EDGE TI WIFI. However, in practice, under the same conditions where the B850I VRM runs at 70°C, the X870I reaches 90°C.
If anyone has any corrections they would like to note or other things that need fixing (or feature suggestions,) please let me know.
