I'm considering adding an additional fan to the Dell Precision 3240 Compact. I'm thinking about using an off-the-shelf fan splitter (something like this one: https://www.arctic.de/en/4-Pin-PWM-Fan-Splitter-Cable/ACCBL00007A) and a small fan to fit into the case.I'm wondering if there would be a problem with power supply to the fans. The CPU blower fan is rated for 0.95A 12V. What do you think is the power limit? 12W or more? I would like to avoid drawing too much current and damaging the motherboard.
The other thing that I'm wondering about is the fan pin layout. Is Dell using a standard layout (ground, PWM, and other pins in the same order)?
