Glad I finally caught a round. Been missing my L2! Downscaling a server and the L5 will be the perfect size for what I intend

    Prototype Introducing the Chimera CX2

This reminds me of a configuration in one of Necere's case idea threads (either here or on [H]) where we tossed around the idea of having ATX compatibility in an mATX case with the understanding not all PCI-E slots would be accessible - at the time the HEDT platform was a major consideration...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Thank you for the Black Friday coupon! It mitigates the sting of the shipping to Canada, and as such I have finally placed my order for a Cerberus X.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I'm glad to be done with these - the Hero X/Hero X Wi-Fi (AC)/Formula/Code have a built in i/o shield. Metal flexing around the I/O portion and a mobo stand-off "guide" peg can make lining up the motherboard an aggravating process in many cases.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I haven't ordered yet, but I absolutely will be getting a Cerberus-X. Just waiting for shipping options to Canada to be finalized, and to see if Demciflex fans will be offered via the site. Specifically, I've had a positive express with UPS Worldwide Express (Canada) in the past. Due to it...

    GPU VEGA NANO

While it isn't necessarily cancelled, the outlook for it does seem rather bleak. Thermal concerns aside, recall the original price of the R9 Nano - the card was not received well outside of the SFF community and pricing was the major concern. HBM wasn't cheap then, and HBM2 isn't now. Vega's...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

This is a common misconception. The general principle of hot air rising does not apply to a pressurized enclosure such as a computer case, as air current within the case is in a constant state of movement (in, through, out). Due to this, it never has the opportunity to become at rest, where warm...

Stalled Compact 24L water cooling oriented ATX case

The PSU will be fine. It is used as an exhaust in this scenario and perfectly capable of the situation it would be put in.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Did you miss the part where they said they are using cheaper components in addition to the reduced amounts, or am I misunderstanding your reply to my quotation as actually being a confirmation of the old design being better? Want to make sure we are on the same page here.

Stalled Compact 24L water cooling oriented ATX case

The Thetis, Styx and Metis require a different configuration philosophy to work. Items that require a change to address thermals in the case configuration shown in that photo for the Thetis are as follows: Option A) 1) Change the PSU to face inward, so the fan vent fases the CPU cooler 2)...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

This particular point concerns me. The clip mechanism was a particular point of discussion regarding its durability on several occasions during the design and development of the case.
