Thoughts towards ultimate SFF X299 build...?!?

Cool, that make sense! Such as shame that the 1080ti arctic storm is such a tall card. Ahhh, I just see the HDPLEX AC-DC unit, that make sense now. I wish you good luck in the journey :thumb:

Thoughts towards ultimate SFF X299 build...?!?

You've got a big dream inside a small chassis! XD Just my opinion, wouldn't it make more sense using a 140mm radiator instead of the noctua? As you make a longer side panel, it should now fit a 140mm radiator outside the case. For bonus, you can use an sfx power supply instead of an external...

Now I just need to hope the motherboard will be colour neutral... But wait, there is gaming on its name, so it will be likely to be black and red or orange  RIP colour coordination Such is 1st world problem Still, I'm excited with MITX ryzen XD

Those new designs look really good! It's a shame that the aero do not perform so well compared to other, it look really really good :). For the power button, is it possible to put a sticker between the side panel and the LED? I think with simple sticker it might be possible to achieve The...

It's perspective :) USB cable will plug just fine, an oversized USB drive might not thou. Yup, as I only use a sata M.2 I can't feel the difference in speed, so in reality it's pretty fine XD My only gripe right now, with the new mounting point the radiator is not centered on the side...

Yup! The front/side/top (depending on your orientation:p) Yup the fan is set to exhaust. In my thought, the air inside the case isn't supposed to be hot because the pump and the radiator move the heat from the hottest component (The CPU) out of the case. And, because the radiator is put...

The thread starter is asleep, time to post some picture :p Ok, 2 days ago the shipping from Ponoko arrived, but I only managed to pick it up today. It's a whole panel of acrylic , lol After I pop it out of the panel. Notice the slight colour difference. Yup, it work ! From other angle...

Some preliminary result , take note that I test it on 2 different nights, so the ambient temp is slightly different. I offer myself as a tribute! XD I don't mind paying for the side panel and shipping. Or if you have a cheaper alternative, I don't mind too. And, I just checked that most...

With the way I oriented the radiator, I think the tubing will hit the corner piece even with a hole. But, if the radiator is oriented the other way around, with the tubing closer to the power button, I think it will work (esp for those with vandal button side panel)

While I look for fan for my LZ7 , my mind was struck by an age old question. Will AIO fit? That was the beginning of my janky journey to fit AIO inside a LZ7, for science. Today, I received Silverstone td03 slim, I chose this AIO because it is pretty slim and have slim (15mm) fan which mean I...

I have Core i5 6500 and noctua nh L9i. Without the extra fan the noctua doesn't seems to be able to expel the hot air out fo the case... It's the head on the screw. It is one of the screw on the back panel so it is unlikely to be opened again.
