I’m running a similar setup to you. 3090 FE with the U12A on a 10900K as intake, top 120mm x 2 and a side 120mm as exhaust. Works really well and the temps/noise are great.

Another update for the displayport to USBC monitor journey. I received my package from China containing the Belkin VR Glass Charge and Sync cable, it takes DP and two USBA and converts it to a USBC DP ALT mode signal. My ASUS XG17 was detected right away and 1080P/240hz worked without issue...

Small update for everyone. With the virtual link port being killed off, there is no USBC port on the new nvidia 3000 lineup. The Asus XG17 can do gsync compatibility through its USBC port since it has DisplayPort alt mode. No USBC output on gpu = no gsync. I’ve tried testing a few things to see...

I’m running a 10900K with the Noctua C14S. Realbench temps get into the 80C range with 100% fan speed and 60C to 70C while gaming with lower fan speeds.

The XC Ultra heatsink has metal tabs that stick and don’t allow you run fans on it bare, the tabs would hit the fan blades. I don’t get noticeable turbulence with the fans in their current position, the turbulence happened when they were on the inside of the case. the 10900K will be coolable if...

You can’t deshroud the EVGA cards and use noctua fans as exhaust like the strix or accelero. There are metal tabs for the fans that was welded in place that interfere. The XC ultra definitely fits, I have the 2080 Ti version in my case but you can only run slim 120mm fans as intake below it.

The Delock DP to USBC adapter I ordered did not work with my 2080 Ti and ASUS XG17AHP. Unfortunately it was only available from amazon UK so I can’t really return it. I’ll try one of the cables that chx linked and see how it goes.
