A Wild Gigabyte GA-Z270N-Gaming 5 Appears

James (Aibophobia) noted not a moment ago that Gigabyte had released the page for the GA-Z270N-Gaming 5 motherboard. EVGA’s Z270 Stinger motherboard launched

We’ve covered the 200-series boards from most of the big motherboard companies, but now we’re taking a quick look at EVGA’s offering, the Z270 Stinger. The Z170 Stinger was pretty lackluster, it looked nice, but didn’t have the features to justify its launch price of $199 (though it’s dropped precipitously in price since). The Z270 version though is an already big improvement in that regard by including more features and it is listed for $170 on EVGA’s website. The board has 4x SATA ports, 1x U.2, Intel NIC, 802.11ac wireless, USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C, and a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 SSD …

ASRock reveals DeskMini RX/GTX: i7 7700K and MXM in under 3 liters

Update: We now have pictures of the motherboard powering this monster here. Last year, ASRock launched their Mini-STX barebones and standalone motherboard products, but today they’ll be showing off a turbocharged derivative of the Mini-STX platform at CES 2017: the DeskMini RX and DeskMini GTX. Simply put, these new barebones systems take the Mini-STX form factor that launched at CES last year, and crank it up to 11. They support Intel’s just-released i7 7700K Kaby Lake processor, the Z270 chipset (meaning you may very well be able to overclock that processor), a Thunderbolt 3 Type-C port, three M.2 SSD ports (!), an M.2 WiFi …
