Hardware Haven, seen above wondering why his mini-pc smells like bacon, has picked up three Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE powered Lenovo M715Q for $200 and a little change. This APU powered mini-pc packs Vega 11 graphics and a 4-core / 8-thread Ryzen 2000 series CPU. It also features a 35 watt TDP, NVME support, and SO-DIMM support.
While the performance won’t set the world on fire, it turns out pretty nifty emulation gaming and transcoding performance. Modern games are going to be limited to 720P and low settings, but for $93 what did you expect? Games such as Redout, Orcs Must Die, and Warcraft 3 should run fairly well on them though.
Personally, getting a few of these setup up on a LAN for some older games like StarCraft, Quake, Minecraft, and other retro-ish games. I’m old school like that.
