I built my wife a Inwin Chopin a bit ago, I thought wire management was tough in that case. WOW, was I wrong. I have had this thing apart 5 or 6 times, trying to get it right. The top fans (Velkase included) were the tough outliers. I had to shave some material off the center hub of the front fan for clearance. not a big deal. They make a huge difference. I'm talking 10+*C in both GPU and CPU. I have them on a rather aggressive curve, they are pretty quite under normal web-browsing.

R5 3600
Noctua L9a

G.Skill F4-3200CL14D-16GVK
MSI 1070 Aero ITX
Adata SX8200 480 GB
Enhance ENP-7660B

I'm hoping the 1070 can get me through until next gen this fall. I don't want to take it all apart again. :)

Not loud at all. I can not hear it over my L9a/GPU. I picked this unit (ENP-7660B) based on user reviews/comments from Reddit. Took a chance and it paid off for me.

I have been playing some Assassin's creed odyssey. Much more demanding Vs. Fortnite.

Found a 2070 ITX to help. Now for the tear-down.

1070 v. 2070.

TL;DR: The FPS boost is nice. The Fan on the Gigabyte is terrible. The MSI Aero ITX Series spoiled me. I will be looking into a fan modification.

yeah I've been doing some researches on the 2070 ITXs between Gigabyte vs MSI. It seems the consensus is MSI ITX series uses larger fan, and is quieter and cooler too. But that Gigabyte backplate you have there is nice also. Maybe try tweaking the fan curve?

Yeah, fan curve is optimized. I also have it undervolted. The fan on the Gigabyte being smaller just doesnt work to it's favor.
