How are USBs mounted in custom cases? Any tips?

I have used hot glue (black color) and it worked like a charm... a little messy but it finished well enough in black color that no one every knew it was a hot glue setting/sitting.

pretty sure you solder the female header on a pcb, then mount the pcb to the case with some standoffs and screws.

Kinda what I did... but just the usb hot glued to pcb and then the usb/pcb double-sided velcro taped to case
