It looks like Thermalright is working on a new heatsink in the sub 50mm height class:

Probably is impossible because heatpipes will obstruct motherboard vrm if rotate heatsink to 90° with fins in parallel to memory slots

To reiterate what I said on a different thread:
Nice. Just did a little research and I don't think will be as good as the c7g. The c7g weighs 610g without fan and the axp 90 [copper] is 490g(idk if that is with or without the fan) it's a little smaller too. 97x92(axp90) vs 97x97(c7g). The stock fan of the axp90 is probably better than the c7g, but even still I don't think it will be as capable.

It may beat it in price/performance (depending on how much each will cost to 1.) buy; and 2.) Get shipped to you)

It is possible that this one will be better, but I don't think it will be likely.... **PLEASE NOTE: THIS OPINION IS JUST SPECULATION BASED ON PAPER SPECS AND NOT REAL PERFORMANCE** I would like to be proven wrong. :)

Here is a test of the alu Version:

@Poblopuablo Keep in mind the C7G has a bigger copper base that adds weight but not cooling performance.

Very nice test of the AXP90 that includes also the C7G, AXP100, BlackRidge & Dynatron T318 + selfmade AM4 adapter

Thermalright AXP90
77°C
Cryorig C7G
85°C
Thermirght AXP100
75°C
Dynatron T318 + 92mm AXP90 FAN
81°C
BlackRidge + 92mm AXP90 FAN
81°C

My own values: The L9a has the same perf. as the T318 so it should be 80-81°C for it.

Thank you very much for organizing this. I may end up getting one.

Black Ridge is tested in push instead in pull configuration, so maybe it will perform a bit closer to AXP90 Cu
Also C7G with TL-9015R fan performs slightly better (82-83°C) than stock fan (85°C), but AXP90 Cu looks like "the new king" under 48mm height coolers
Interesting how AXP90 Aluminium will perform
