What's the max length GPU that can fit? Could a Zotac 1070 or 1080 mini fit without mods?

You only have 191mm the Zotac are 210mm.

Yep, shorties only...!

The 'high-end' cards for this chassis would be the MSI GTX 1070 ITX Aero, the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Mini ITX, & the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Mini ITX...

If a GTX 1060 will do, the hot ticket is the EVGA GTX 1060 SC Gaming (6GB model)...

I haven't decided yet if I am going 1070 or 1080, I really hope MSI or Gigabyte release a 1070 Ti ITX in the next couple months.

Nasp,
I hope rfarmer and Boil answered your question. I also put some GPU compatibility info on the webpage you can check out HERE.

I met with my metal fabricator late last week regarding the surface finish (brushing) on the cover. He is going to add some additional steps to his processing to get the brush texture much smoother. It will still be visibly brushed, but no roughness to the touch. So that will be good.

I revamped some parts of the webpage (HDD mounting, News, Gallery and a few other sections) to class it up a bit. Let me know what you think. Thx.

I'm hoping I can still make it in this batch. It's been a crazy week. Friend who owed me $200 took over a week to pay me back and then last night my cars check engine light came on. If the bill isn't too big I should still be able to get in on this batch.

Fire,

I know there is a 3mm side panel gap on the CPU side between the max height 65mm CPU cooler and vents. Do you think that the Noctua NH-L12, which is 66mm with an under-mounted 92mm fan will fit?

That should fit great, and the fan under the fins reduces noise.

EDIT -- But the latest model, the NH-L12S is 4mm taller at 70mm, which wont fit.

Good! I picked up the old model. Amazon still had a few in stock. Finally, I can tame the i7-8700 quietly.

First Edition Batch Update --
Orders are up to 27 as of mid day today Tues Nov 28. So we are getting close to reaching or exceeding the 30 case kick off min threshold (!!)

2 1/2 days left to order so if you are on the fence, you still have some time. I am pretty much updating the webpage daily with more photos and such, so if you need more convincing or just info you might check it out. But feel free to ask me any questions here or there.

Thanks!
Fire!

Matt Reissmann has made a nice slim fan comparison sheet HERE. Lot of good data for anyone looking at 92mm fans for the bottom of the case or for CPU heatsinks. Might want to give him kudos if you find it useful.

I'll put a link to it on the front page too.

@firewolfy I am still waiting on the bill from the auto shop, but it's unlikely I'll have the money this go around as it'll be at least $400 :( However, I recently learned about this beauty, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

I'm curious if it'll fit in the MI-6. I've already realized it won't fit in my Catz C-1 but I really want to work on the cooling and noise on my GTX 1060.
Jonny-
Which 1060 do you have? The Gigabyte? I have that one and could give you some clearance distances for the replacement HS/fan.

It's the EVGA one. I don't think there should be much of a difference since the PCB will be in the same spot no matter what.

Good point. I'm measuring about 34mm from the face of the PCB to the inside of the cover, so that would be the absolute max room. And I'm not accounting the GPU chip height.

What size is that Accelero HS/fan unit?

That doesn't seem right? A dual slot card takes up 40mm, give or take a mm.

Well, you got me thinking, and I remeasured, correctly this time to where the cover sits. I got about 38mm. Sorry about that.

EDIT - I am measuring from the front face of the PCB. Also, the Giga has a partial backplate that isn't included in their thickness spec, so the card is pushed out a bit (2-3mm) toward the cover.
