These boards are targeted at entry level builds and a good choice for APUs.

Definitely not the board you’ll be buying for an overclocked 3950X and 2080Ti.

They are around half the price of the B550 options though.

Also I believe, it won't be future proof since no PCIe 4
First: how much do we expect the next gen GPUs to actually utilize the additional bandwidth provided by PCIe 4.0 to any noticable degree.
Second, if you're getting a budget motherboard, you're probably also getting a budget graphics card and SSD

And so far, not a single version of a thin itx board (
An eternal shame there is a lack of tiny boards.

The ASRock A520M-ITX/ac is apparently using the same PCB as the ASRock B550M-ITX/ac, so aside the from PCIe 4.0 and the size of the UEFI ROM (16MB vs. 32MB) they are identical: https://www.asrock.com/mb/compare.asp?Models=B550M-ITX/ac,A520M-ITX/ac
