4x fans at lower RPM for a little less noise when an AIO is in the top.

When not using a 240mm or 280mm AIo in the top it's also possible to have 4x 3.5" HDD and still have fans.

On the 580 it makes it possible to have a 120mm AIO in top, one 2x HDD bracket in top, and the 120mm AIO bracket in the bottom front for 2x 120mm rad + 2x HDD build. In the SM570 it's also possible to do a 92mm AIO, 1x 120mm fan, and 4x 3.5" HDD when no AIO in the top.

Could be useful combinations to someone.

Would anyone be interested in an SSD bracket for mounting more than 2x 2.5" SSD/HDD in the case?

Anything else I should make a potential combination mounting bracket for?

So if I was looking to do one 240mm AIO and have at least one 3.5" HDD, would that setup work in the 570 or would I have to go with the 580? Both the 570 and 580 can accommodate the 3.5" HDD brackets, correct? The main difference lies in the 580 using up to 140mm fans versus the 570 using 120mm fans?

Basically I was thinking of doing a 240mm AIO on the top, with one 3.5" HDD on the bottom and then another fan in the other bottom slot. I'm kind of curious how the thermals would be with just the one fan in the bottom and a 3.5" HDD taking up one of the fan slots?

Will I be able to buy the no IO case from Canada? I would be willing to pay extra for shipping in order to get it sooner. I need a case by mid July that supports 240mm AIO.

That config sounds like it'd work fine in the 570. You'll still have the fan on the bottom that feeds air across the motherboard (RAM and VRM cooling) along with the fans on the rad, so I don't believe there will be any issues thermally.

@KSliger Thanks for the offer. I have the Riser from the 550 I could use in a pinch for testing.
The Cryorig C7 G came in today. Not sure If I want to swap it tonight, or wait for the Ryzen release date. I'll probably swap it in tonight.
I also did not test everything outside the case yet. Will either do that, or maybe swap case altogether. I still have my assembled Cougar setup that I could just remove the board and put mine in its place for testing.

Five day weekend starting Wednesday, but Valve Index not arriving until Monday and SM570 still in limbo. Huge pile of watercooling parts waiting for some love. I am so, so eager. :D (For those Canadian friends, hope you are having a good Canada Day today and for other USA friends, have a great Independence Day!)

I said in reddit.

I don't need front pannel. I'm waiting SM580 case and some delays with my sponsors to do project... ?

SM580 still launching this week? Also any other news on the SV590?

"Late this week" was the last word from Ksliger on launch date.

As for the SV590, there's a dedicated thread for it here that would likely have the most relevant info.

Ksliger is killing me, every day I'm checking up on his website and page to be ready to order. This is my first sff build, and I'm trying to get in finished by the end of the month so I can move across a few states more easily. Right now I'm rocking a full tower that's so big I've been using it as a desk (ultrawide screen and keyboard resting on top).

SM570 and SM580 are still on track for Wednesday afternoon, hope to have it up by 9pm PST worst case.

SV590 will be next week.
That's great news - does that mean SV590 has a final design? There were a couple bouncing around in the other thread. Rather than add more clutter here after instigating the Great Noctua Incident of June 2019 I'll look for updates over there :)

@KSliger I was wondering if is it possible to have in front a 15mm SSD like the Optane, and if in the SM580 can support on the bottom also the 120mm fans. Thanks a lot!

There is an SSD bracket behind the front panel that will support at least 1x 15mm drive (I think it has holes for 2x 9mm 2.5" drives), and the 580 will definitely fit 120mm fans, the grills in the bottom are spaced well enough that even if specific holes aren't there you'd be able to secure the fans.

I thought it was stated that the 580 did not support 120's? I could be wrong but I thought that was the case.

Swapped my build over to my Cougar case to see how it goes there. Also got the C7 G installed but don't have an opinion on it yet.

As @raulnorry said there is the 2x 2.5" SSD mount behind the front panel, but we're also working a few optional brackets:

SM550
1x 92mm AIO adapter bracket (replaces 1x 120mm fan)
1x 3.5" HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 120mm fan)
4x 2.5" SSD/HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 120mm fan)

SM560
120mm AIO bracket (requires ITX length GPU)
2x 3.5" HDD bracket (requires ITX length GPU, not compatible with 120mm AIO bracket)
92mm AIO adapter bracket (replaces 1x 120mm fan)
1x 3.5" HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 120mm fan)
4x 2.5" SSD/HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 120mm fan)

SM570
2x 3.5" HDD top bracket (works in place of 120mm AIO in top; can mount 1x 120mm AIO + 2x 3.5" HDD, or 4x 3.5" HDD)
92mm AIO adapter bracket (replaces 1x 120mm fan)
1x 3.5" HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 120mm fan)
4x 2.5" SSD/HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 120mm fan)

SM580
2x 3.5" HDD top bracket (works in place of 120mm/140mm AIO in top; can mount 1x 140mm AIO + 2x 3.5" HDD, or 4x 3.5" HDD with no radiator in top)
4x 2.5" SSD/HDD bracket in bottom (replaces 1x 140mm fan)
1x 120mm radiator / 120mm fan adapter that also works as a 3.5" HDD mount (replaces 1x 140mm fan)

The 120mm radiator adapter for bottom of the SM580 does not work with AIOs, only with custom loops. Radiator must be <29mm thick and fan must be 15mm thick.

Basically a ton of options coming which is part of the picture delay.

Where does the incompatibility come in? My AIO radiator is under 29mm and I planned on using a slim (12mm) fan with it.
