At that point why not just make them all true 4 slot cards and not as long? Even many full sized cases can't support a GPU that long, especially if using a front aio/rad. At least they are in time for winter, gotta need that extra space heater.

with double rads has anyone tested the best setup thermally? is it exhausting from both the front and back or is it having the air go one directions through?

has EK announced water blocks yet for the 4090's? many of the partner cards are over handing the heatsinks by a large margin, the actual pcb is much smaller than the the heatsink (on some of them). So the waterblock demension will be way smaller length wise than the stock HSF configuration.

Just look at how much of the ASUS card is HSF:

Basically an entire 1/3rd of the card is just heatsink overhang. the water block size will likely be in the 270mm range.

No one has done any real thermal testing in this case that I've seen (there's only been 2 reviewers to see it), especially not with dual radiators, though with conversations I've had with Taylor it sounds like like making them both exhaust is the optimal solution.

The dual rads I setup worked well as exhaust. I can see them working as both intake, but you should ideally have two perf panels when 100% positive pressure in this scenario.

If you do one direction flow, you will be recycling air. At high fan speeds this will probably be fine, but not ideal. Flow through air is best when using a single rad.

I was looking at your youtube video and was wondering if it'd be possible to fit in small/slim fans (say 80mm, 92mm?) on the perforated side of the case (assuming single perf panel). Was thinking of mounting them using bonding tape or similar. Would help to make the dual intake work better.

TC was right, FEs are 304mm. 4080 FE is also 3 slots, unfortunately.

here are 2 so far. they look kind of meh honestly and not as good looking as the 30 series one. hopefully heatkiller can save the day with a better looking design.

I mounted 92mm fans using those rubber fan mounts. I'd recommend NA-Sav3 or NA-Sav4 from noctua. Or something similar. Some come double sided for various ways of mounting, just trim off excess.

Not likely for FE cards, unfortunately. I would have killed to have a HK block for the 3080FE. Or Aquacomputer for that matter.

The only 4090's on that list I'd consider are the Strix, TUF, Suprim and Gaming X Trio but none will fit due to length. Or maybe there is 3mm wiggle room to fit the Gaming X Trio. What's missing from that list is the 240mm rad AIO cooled MSI 4090 that is 280mm in length which would be a perfect fit for this case.

At this point its either FE or that liquid cooled MSI. FE I really don't think is ideal in these vertical cases because of all the heat that gets exhausted underneath.

2 - FLT120 is hard fit. Only way to make this one work I think is placing it where the rads would go, or if you use the trad layout, but that limits your rad space ( for now). The FLT80 should fit fine along side your waterblock (I have that same waterblock)

In regards to the fit for the FLT80, would it matter if it is the DDC or D5 variant? I’m having a bit of trouble visualizing this arrangement and want to make sure I don’t order the wrong type. Thanks!

You'll have to go the WC route for a lot of those to fit in most SFF cases. The EK Strix waterblock looks to be 238Lx148W but now it's aslo recommended to get a new PSU too according to jayztwocents. fun!

Yeah I have 0 interest in going water. I change hardware so frequently that its just not viable taking apart loops/blocks constantly as I resell/swap/upgrade.

Also jayztwocents is an idiot. I'm using a SF750 with my 3090 Ti which has higher transient spikes than the 4090 according to Nvidia's material here:

My PSU has no issues running my 3090 Ti full tilt along with a 12900K for gaming purposes and I'm using a 3x8pin to 16pin cable from here:

Looks like some of the third parties are using 4x 8pin to 16pin adapters… wonder when we’ll see those offered by vendors.

DDC would be best for this
