Hi friends. So I've never attempted an SSF build before and wanna check in to make sure what i'm tryna go for works with the current chassis. As i'm super confident in my ability to mess up everything, modding would ideally be minimal. I've taken a look at what Josh has already posted for a possible 2070 brickless build, but wanted to try my hand at my own build. Here's what i've put together so far. Please let me know what you think or give me recommendations! Thanks

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-core
Cooler: NH-L9a
MoBo: MSI B450I PLUS AC
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8)
Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB M.2 SSD
Kingston A400 240GB SSD
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1070 Aero 8GB
Fans: NF-A12x15 PWM 120mm
Power: HDPLEX 400W HiFi CD-ATX
HDPLEX 400W ACDC Adapter

So for Power supply, i'm tryna see if I can go brick-less with the HDPLEX 400W adapter combo, but if it doesn't fit, I'd rather have more space for my other components. I'm a casual gamer and play CSGO, Battlefield V, and Warzone. I also like playing MMO's, so I end up logging 5-7 hours in-game. So I wanna make sure that my build stays cool is super important.

PS. my build must be under $2000, my poor wallet.

I think with the MSI Aero you need to switch the position of the 2 HDPlex units. You may have it easier if you choose a card with less then 115mm width. For 2000$ you should be easily able to go for a 2070 (the Inno3D 2070 X2 fits without modifications) and a Ryzen 3600. Here are the expenses (in Euro) for my build as example:

Thanks! I was looking more into it, and yeah, nabbing the Inno3D 2070 is a much better option for going brick-less.
By chance, do you know if there will be enough clearance with the Inno3D 2070 build Josh has recc'd on the NFC site for extra cooling fans?

I believe his build uses:

HDPlex 400 AC DC + HDPlex 400 DC
ASRock Z390 Phantom ITX
Core i7 9700K
970 Evo Plus M2. 1TB
NH L9i CPU Cooler

I cannot answer that. My 1070 TI doesn't have a backplate and there is almost no space between the card and the fans. But the fans are doing a great job.
