28 years ago, I thought this was a good idea. NFC & Moore's Law Is Dead's show helped me realize I'm not getting anywhere with just an idea. So I'm tossing it out here for closure. Thanks for noticing me.

Size: Variable
Layout: Variable
Concept: Cube with four PC's using symmetrically interlocking components with heatpipe cooling.
Gigantic single fan in front causing a complete windtunnel exhausting out the back.
I/O extenders from everything important to a single I/O block in back, possibly with network hub and surge strip, so each cube has 1 ethernet and 1 power cable.
Since nothing is along the sides, the cubes would be stackable and study.
Each case would unroll like peeling fruit for easy access, or detach like doors.

Another variation would be a central stalk behind the fan with the I/O block as base, and the four 'petals' hinge around it and fold outward to open for easier access.
The squares would be standardized, but the layouts could change, so a cube could have 2 PC's, 1 Storage, 1 Something else, etc.
