Inspired by the threads discussing mechanical keyboards, and also to have a go at replacing the capacitors on an old monitor, I'm looking to pick up a soldering iron. Though I must admit I haven't touched one in about 20 years!

A bit of google-fu infers the best regarded options to be the Pinecil or TS100. Anyone have experience with either of these? Both delivered to the UK look to be in the same cost ballpark.

I think my old 19v 65w laptop brick should be able to power either. It has a 5517 jack, but I've ordered a 5517 to 5525 adapter. As far as I'm aware should be all safe and good.

I'd go for the pinecil, It can do 20v/3a(60w) on USB-PD and QC as well, looks more comfortable, and its cheaper.
