I'm building pretty much a car pc but it seems everyone has gone away from ~12v inputs on pciopsu style psus.
So what is the new solution?
I have a small am5 ryzen build I've built around the idea of running it straight from my small solar setup at my cabin and I'm doing that already with a M4-ATX psu, but it's too large to fit inside the case.
I tried an old m3-atx I had but it would not post for some reason.

It seems all the newer psus like the hdplex dcdc have moved on to 19v or 16v minimum and I need 11-14v range.
I suppose the logical step is to first boost the voltage to 19v.

I dont think the on-plug 24pin style psus will fit this case either, the m3-atx hits the front panel and makes it not fit.

Does anyone have the a09m case and found a good solution? my gpu is single slot width so I am thinking the psu will in the bottom of the case below it, but i want to save room for a 5060 too maybe.
Any recommendations for a DC picopsu style?

HDPLEX has wide-input models - The 500W jobber isn't on the socket, and should work for you. Their 200W unit is on the plug, but nothing would stop you from running a cable extender to wherever you'd want to mount it.

i see that but it only goes down to 12, and at 12.0v the battery still has a lot of life left, it shuts down at 10.5v.
I'm not sure if it will work beyond its rating. I did consider the other model and attach it with a short 24pin extension cable, but it says in datasheet that it's minimum voltage is 16v which is worse

I just ordered a pico 160w to try that, it takes exactly 12v +-0.5 so I will try that with a power supply that outputs 12v and see if the pc is stable. dunno if 160w is enough for a 9600x and gpu. (i have power restricted from 88w to 44w in bios)

this case is stupid, this hobby is stupid. nothing fits ever wtf.
Had to modify the picopsu, move cables to other side, though i probably could have just forced it together.
I was going to just use a 120v to 12v 25a led power supply but it would cut out at about 110w and the pc would reboot. it also would not fit in the bottom of the case without a bunch of modifications.
so now i just have it powered off my dell 220w 12.3v psu with the ec3 connector for now while I try to find a psu that makes a lot of 12v and fits in the basement of the case.
Though the picopsu works great. I did not try bringing up the cpu to stock 88w though.
