So I dug into the topic, because I might reboot my A4-H2O build, and decided that "just black" doesnt cut it anymore (one of the reasons I went with the S400 v2 instead, cause: White Build).

Apparently acrylic paint is good for anodized aluminium surfaces, but does anybody have experiences for this, esp. with perforated / "mesh" panels like the ones of the A4-H2O?

I read a bit about painting or vinyl wrapping the panels before, but the main concern seems to be getting / keeping the mesh holes open.

FYI: I'm not a stranger to acrylic paint and detailed paintworks in general, but never done it with metal panels.

I've no experience with acrylic in such a setting, but with a basic scuff for the paint to stick to, I've had good luck with automotive enamel (primer then topcoat).
