Extra notes

Flipped orientation makes smaller dimensions possible
The layout will be the same as the FormD T1 for easier cable management and smaller volume

If you could put a power button and a type c (or usb) on the front would be perfect.

So essentially you have done next to nothing and your not sure you want to continue? How are you getting the 1L smaller number? Do you actually have a cad model?

Dimensions. Multiply them out. The T1 is larger in every dimension, so it's 1L larger

from the measurements, am guessing the layout is similar to some other cases where the Rad and fans are fitted either below or above the motherboard.

quick notes for you if would like to continue:

Itx mb is not 100% 170x170 mm its actually 175x172 because of the i/o shield and the spacing for it. so you will need few millimeters vertically for the case.

As for the width of the case it depends on your material choice. and it affects your choice of both gpu and cpu cooler.

1mm for aluminum is rather thin you may opt for steel at this thickness.

good luck.

That's exactly why I'm using a flipped orientation. Hope that explains everything. (FormD T1 layout)
Also, the 172mm is considered in the dimensions, it'll essentially have the PSU right next to the mobo.

Ok, will be changing from alu to steel
