Yeah my exact model wasn't actually listed. I went ahead and bought the corsair vegeance RAM from the computer store around the corner, and it works fine. I found the whole thing really strange, but at least its working now.

I was looking at the QVL on Asrock website and they had a massive amount of ram that was supported, I was really surprised that any of the G Skill didn't work. glad you found something that worked.
