Memory Need help, cannot post because of ram

Just built a new system, but I cannot post, the word on the motherboard says that there is something wrong with the ram, as I am running a asus rog strix z390-I Mobo there are only two dimm slots, as this is dual channel memory, both have to be plugged in, I tried switching spots but I am stuck beyond that,

There is no such thing as dual channel ram sticks. You are confusing dual rank memory and a dual channel configuration I guess. In either way it should be no problem to test a single stick.
I would try to boot the system with a single stick at a time. If it aint working try the other stick in both slots. Just to differenciate between faulty memory and a faulty board.
