Log Need Advice for sandwich layout airflow (custom case)

Hello everyone, I'm designing a custom case and I wanted to know what do you think would be the best airflow for this layout. For now I was thinking of 2 exhaust on top and 1 intake in front (but I heard maybe it was better to put the intake on the bottom of the case)
For now I don't have any precise dimension for the case since I'm first trying to get as much info on how I will build the inside so I can make the case adaptable to what I need

The build would be
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: RTX 5070Ti
Motherboard: MSI MPG B650I EDGE WIFI
PSU: CORSAIR SF750
Cpu cooler: Thermalright AXP90 X47 Full copper


And 2nd part of the question, a friend want to use the case to do a more powerfull build with Ryzen 9 9800X3D and RTX 5080 do you think it's doable with decent temperature and noise or do you think this case is not adapted

Hi, first of all, the case looks gorgeous.

For the asked question about the temps... two top fans are mandatory, and another set in the bottom would help but I don't think it would make a huge difference unless the gap under the case to the floor is very narrow, especially with how you designed the GPU opening in the side panel. It may help with the CPU temps but wouldn't expect anything drastic.

In the front, it depends on the design of the GPU cooler, for example a FE Nvidia card wouldn't see any benefit, and I think most of the air would be sucked out by the closest top fan

Also, CPU side would see benefit from having bigger cutouts.

someone recommanded me to put a gaskets / duct for cpu so it has his own airflow kinda

I got the recent COOJ SF3 and I think it has the perfect layout for an ITX Sandwich, so i may be biased, but i think two top fans set as exhaust to avoid warm air build up and generous side openings are all you need for this kind of cases. There is little benefit from adding bottom/front fans, since the main components arent facing anything else than the sides, and you avoid all the extra cables/fan noise/chances of turbulences while saving some overall volume.

The fans are just fine for what they are for, I use the Arctic P12 Slim as I have used them a lot in the past... sure, probably noctuas, phanteks etc would be superior but im budget concerned, as long as theyre silent and help with the thermals i prefer to pay 7 for each rather than 29-30 like the noctuas
