Hello,
This is my first proper SFF build - your help and advice would be truly appreciated!

Main questions:
  1. Is everything below compatible? (I'm most worried about the MoBo + C14S + Ncase M1 fit)
  2. Is the fans set up correct (direction of airflow)?
  3. What thermal paste should i use? (or is the one supplied with C14S the best?)
  4. Any other tips/suggestions? (I'm guessing that adjusting fan profiles will be critical - any recommended settings/guides?)

Components:
  • Case: Ncase M1
  • MoBo: MSI Z490I UNIFY Z490
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4 3600
  • GPU: Asus RTX 3080 TUF OC
  • Storage: Samsung NVMe 980 1TB
  • PSU: Corsair SF750
  • Cooling:
    • C14S + NF-A12x25 (blowing towards MoBo)
    • 2x NF-A12X15 (side fans, left intake, right exhaust)
    • 1X NF-A9 (rear exhaust)

I already have ordered everything, except for the PSU which I cannot get hold of anywhere :-(

Thank you in advance for your kind tips!

I believe that your components do fit, however I am not really into Intels last few years of productions, but from what I could find the sockets from the motherboard and CPU should match. Rest looks like good choices!

The SF750 PSU is somewhat globally sold out.

Any thoughts on fans configuration?
  • C14S + NF-A12x25 (blowing towards MoBo)
  • 2x NF-A12X15 (side fans, left intake, right exhaust)
  • 1X NF-A9 (rear exhaust)

Hi,

your config looks good, Corsair SFX 600 Platinum is also an option within specs.
Consider a fan PWM power adapter, do not use daisy-chained Y connectors.
I also have an Asus RTX 3080 TUF OC, and despite the good cooler, the fans spin awfully early and quite loud. You maybe want to replace them with two large fans.

If you do not want to deshroud and lose the warranty, I suggest getting this 3080 GPU with Noctua fans already installed.
IDK if this actually fits! looks like 140mm fans
