Enclosure Mini-ITX Build Advice - Lian Li PC05S

Hello Everyone.

I'm looking for advice regarding my new build, I would have started this back in December however I have held of for the the latest generation of Nvidia Graphics Cards. So with the release of the GTX 1080 I am ready to begin ordering parts for my build.

The main issue I seem to have is space and power, which I imagine is a common issue with ITX builds. I really like the Lian-Li PC05 as shown the below links, however I cannot find a suitable SFX PSU that will power the GPU and fit into such a small form factor case.

Any advice and suggestions would be much appreciated. I will also consider other cases if you guys have any recommendations.

Welcome to the forum!

What CPU are you thinking of and do you plan to overclock heavily? Are you particularly sensitive to noise?

At stock clocks or even a mild overclock you should be able to use even a 450W. But there are now several 600W+ SFX and SFX-L power supplies on the market if you want room to overclock or upgrade.

Regarding CPU, I am considering the Skylake i7 6700k, I would like to overclock but nothing too heavy. Yes, quite sensitive to noise so would like it to be as quiet as possible.

Do you think a 600w PSU be enough with a GTX 1080>

I've run a 5930K and SLI GTX 980s off 600W, so for a 6700K and a single 1080 it's more than enough.

For SFX I'd recommend the Corsair SF600. For SFX-L it'd be either the SilverStone SX700-LPT or Lian Li PE-750.

That's great news. shame I didn't pick up the case when it was on sale in December. I'm hoping to fit a watercooling loop in it.

Any advice where I can purchase the SFX PSU

SX700 on Amazon appears to be unavailable, and I cannot fine the PE-750 anywhere.

Those two SFX-L units don't seem to be available in the UK yet (at least at reasonable prices).
